Civics Bee winner Kamilya Woodrow is in the center of the photo holding a plaque. Bossier Chamber representatives are pictured on either side of her.

It was a “bee”utiful way for our middle school students to show off their knowledge at the first Bossier Regional Civics Bee, sponsored by the Bossier Chamber of Commerce.

Congratulations to Kamilyah Woodrow of Elm Grove Middle School, who was the first place finisher, and Adrian Fallah of Benton Intermediate School, who placed third. Other finalists in the top five include Om Ganapathy, Benton Middle, and McKinley Coulson, Haughton Middle. Let’s give them all a round of applause!

Kamilyah and Adrian earned cash prizes for their wins and now have the opportunity to compete at the state Civics Bee competition in June. Best of luck to them in the next round!
