This year, we are incredibly proud to recognize two outstanding young musicians whose hard work and perseverance have earned them principal positions—an achievement reserved for the very top performers in the entire state:
Lanah Brandes, Principal Bassoon
Jackson Pierce, Principal Contra Clarinet
Being named Principal means these students not only earned a spot in the ensemble but also placed first on their instrument statewide. Their achievement reflects countless hours of practice, strong musical leadership, and a deep commitment to excellence.
